Navigate to the Amazon Associates homepage and click “Sign Up.”

It’s a simple process that begins by going to the Amazon Associates page. This is the process after you have clicked the ‘Sign up’ button:

Fill up your account info (including the name, address, and phone number of the payee).

After you’ve submitted your account info, you’ll be directed to a page where you can list the websites or mobile apps where you want to advertise for Amazon. In total, you can enter up to 50 website and mobile app URLs.

Enter your preferred store ID

After you’ve added all of your potential affiliate websites, you’ll need to provide them more information. You also must create an associate store ID (usually the name of your website) and define what products you want to advertise or promote.

Explain how you drive traffic to your site

Explain how you drive traffic to your websites, how you generate income from your online assets(website or apps ), how you usually build links, and how many visitors your site brings in each month.

Wait for an automated call from Amazon once you’ve entered all of the necessary details. You’ll receive a 4-digit PIN that you need to enter to verify the information you’ve provided here so far. All that’s left after this is to read the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on ‘Finish’.

Choose your payment method

Choose whether to enter your payment (credit card) and tax ID information now or later, but it’s necessary. After that, go over to your dashboard.

Create Amazon Affiliate Links

You’ll be sent to your personal homepage as quickly as you’ve created your account. This is where you’ll find your dashboard (including an earnings overview, monthly summary, and total clicks).

This dashboard is also where you’ll search for relevant products to link to from your content.

  1. Log in to your Amazon Associate account
  2. Click on Product Linking in the top banner and select Product Links
  3. Add the ASIN of the product OR search Amazon for the product
  4. Click the Get Link
  5. Use the generated link on your site or other promotional materials according to Amazon’s standards
  6. Alternatively, you can use the Amazon Associates SiteStripe to generate Amazon Affiliate links

Log in to your Amazon Associate account

This ensures that the link text is generated in a way that associates your account to the product you’re promoting.

Click on Product Linking in the top banner and select Product Links

Based on your niche, there are several Product Linking Ads to choose from (including Product Links, Banners, Native Shopping Ads, Mobile Popovers, and Links to Any Page). For example, I have an Affiliate Marketing blog, so I prefer Native Shopping Ads, which you can see at the end of this guide.


Add the ASIN of the product OR search Amazon for the product

Use the search bar provided to find a product on Amazon. If you already have a product in mind, you may enter the ASIN directly.

If you can’t find the ASIN of a product, this information is available in the Product section of the Amazon listing.

Alternatively, if you can’t find the ASIN, you may search Amazon’s entire catalog for the product you’re promoting.

To get the link, click the ‘Get Link’ button to the right of every relevant result

Use the generated link on your site or other promotional materials according to Amazon’s standards

Make sure you engage your audience with quality content and share relevant links with them on your site or YouTube channel.

Each link you generate will have a cookie that will then follow your site visitors once they click on the link. This is extremely beneficial to you because it increases your chances of receiving a commission for the sale. The only drawback is that it is only available for a limited time.

The SiteStripe bar that shows on product pages when you’re logged in to your Amazon Affiliate Panel is a simpler way to generate your Amazon Affiliate Links.

Tap the Text button in the Get Link selector. Then copy the generated URL from the popup.

Once you’ve submitted your application, you’ll be assigned an Associates Id. Amazon usually replies within 1-3 business working days if you’ve been accepted as an associate.

After becoming an Amazon associate, you have 180 days to make a sale. If no one purchases a product via your affiliate link for 180 days, your account will be closed. This is why you must have a plan in place when applying to become an Amazon associate. Don’t worry; even if your account is closed, you can apply to become an Amazon affiliate again.
